Dismissal Secured in Defense of an Iowa Nonprofit

DES MOINES, Iowa (November 27, 2024) – The Firm secured dismissal for a non-profit client as to allegations of following an incident that occurred on its premises. On June 7, 2023, Plaintiff filed her Petition at Law, alleging civil liability under theories of a premises liability and negligence against the Firm’s client a non-profit shelter near Waterloo, Iowa. After comprehensive written discovery and depositions, Adam Zenor, Derek LaBrie, and Ryleigh Keeney filed a motion for summary judgment, seeking dismissal of all claims. After further motion practice and oral argument on the same, the case was dismissed.
