Successful Reversal of Adverse Agency Findings

DES MOINES, Iowa (October 8, 2024) – The Firm secured reversal of adverse Iowa Department of Health and Human Services findings against a client. On March 14 and 18, 2024, Iowa’s Department of Health and Human Services determined four (4) allegations of dependent adult sexual abuse asserted against the Firm’s client were “founded.” Adam Zenor and Sarah Hickman appealed these findings. After completing discovery and dispositive motion practice, Mr. Zenor and Ms. Hickman secured an amendment of all determinations to “unfounded.” As a result, the Firm’s client was removed from the Dependent Adult Abuse Registry and the Department’s case against the Firm’s client was dismissed.
