Dispositive Motion Granted in Defense of an Iowa Dram

DES MOINES, Iowa (July 23, 2024) – The Firm secured dismissal for a client defending against allegations of serious personal injury in state court. On September 29, 2023, Plaintiff filed his Petition at Law, alleging civil liability under theories of a statutory dram shop claim and negligence against the Firm’s client a dram shop in Council Bluffs, Iowa. After comprehensive written discovery and depositions, Adam Zenor and Sarah Hickman filed a motion for summary judgment, seeking dismissal of all claims. On July 23, 2024, the Court entered an Order granting the dispositive motion and dismissed all claims leveled against the Firm’s client.
